Sunday art day: brought to you by the letters J, I, and C

by Theo on August 22nd, 2011

J is for John Watson from the BBC Sherlock series, the subject of my warm-up painting.

(Who looks strange to me without his matched Sherlock painting.)

I is for the Irish countryside, at the top of the Giant’s Causeway.

Hadn’t done a landscape in years. Kinda digging it. I hope the recipients feel the same.

And C is for the Campbell sisters, Morning and Elle, protagonists of the novel I’m working on.

I think that’s the first time I’ve really gotten them both captured on the same sheet of paper. Which is funny, because they spend most of their time within 20 feet of each other. Nice to have a quick character design piece that shows that comfort with each other.

They’re reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, if you’re wondering. It’s a family favorite.

(Reminder: Fat Ladies in Spaaaaace contest closes at the end of the day Thursday!)
